Jeffrey Richard de Corban Evans

Jeffrey Richard de Corban Evans (born 13 May 1948) is a shipbroker[1] and Alderman for the Ward of Cheap in the City of London[2].

Biography

Evans is the younger brother of the present Lord Mountevans, and is heir presumptive to the title.[3] He was educated at Pangbourne College, before going up to Pembroke College, Cambridge (MA). He is director of Gas chartering at Clarkson PLC based in the City of London. He served as a Prime Warden of the Shipwrights' Company in 2006 and is a member of the Council of the White Ensign Association[4].

He married in 1972 Hon Juliet Wilson, daughter of Lord Moran KCMG, with whom he has two sons. He and his wife live in Kensington.

Styles

In the City of London, Evans is known as Mr Alderman Jeffrey Evans, whilst elsewhere he is The Hon Jeffrey Evans.
